Academy News (Nov 2018)

Partnership with Melton Foxes

We kick off this news bulletin with the exciting news that we have agreed our second partnership with a grassroots club to run their Academy.

Following on the success we have had with Kirby Muxloe 88 JFC, we?re delighted to be partnering Melton Foxes JFC and helping them form teams to grow their football club.

Brooksby Development Centre

The home of Melton Foxes Academy will be at Brooksby College on Monday evenings 6-7pm on the excellent 3G pitch.

The Brooksby Development Centre is open to boys & girls (4-11 years old) and will provide extra training for players of all abilities who want fun and engaging sessions.

LFE Development Centre

This centre has quickly grown and we now have around 30 players attending each hour (60 in total), so we have added a 4th coach to our ranks to maintain the healthy coach to player ratio.

We have successfully placed 4 players into Kirby teams who wasn’t playing grassroots football at the beginning of September.

The Kirby Muxloe 88 JFC Academy now have their club kits and we have 15 players (under 6s) enjoying matches against other teams as the countdown begins to the Easter hand over to the football club.

Talking of teams, we’re getting close in numbers to form an additional team (current under 7s) and early talks have taken place with the coaches of that age group of how a 4th team could work with the existing teams.

Playing Under The Lights

With the clocks going back all our training sessions will be under the lights, which adds to the excitement. It also signals the cold dark nights and the little stars will need to be wrapped up against the elements. We recently launched our online shop and have a full range of winter training wear available.

We offer a FREE taster session at both of our Centres
