2025/26 - U15s LEAD COACH


Position Overview

The U15s Lead Coach plays a pivotal role in developing the next generation of football talent at Star Soccer Academy. You will be responsible for the holistic development of U15 players, focusing on advanced technical skills, tactical intelligence, physical conditioning, and mental resilience. As a leader and mentor, you will prepare players for the demands of higher-level MJPL competition while ensuring they embody the club’s core values and playing philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advanced Training Program Development:
  • Implement comprehensive training sessions that address the unique needs of U15 players, focusing on advanced technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical development.
  • Incorporate progressive training methodologies that prepare players for competitive matches and potential transitions to senior levels.
  • Team Management and Leadership:
  • Lead and manage the U15 team, fostering a professional environment that emphasizes discipline, commitment, and mutual respect.
  • Develop strong team cohesion through effective communication, motivational coaching, and strategic team-building activities.
  • Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and adjusting training plans as necessary.
  • Player Development and Tactical Analysis:
  • Create individualized development plans for players, emphasizing areas for improvement and growth.
  • Utilize video analysis and data-driven methods to assess performance, refine strategies, and enhance player development.
  • Guide players in understanding complex tactical concepts, ensuring they can execute the club’s playing style both offensively and defensively.
  • Integration of Star’s Playing Philosophy:
  • Instill and reinforce Star’s signature playing philosophy, ensuring that tactical training, match preparation, and in-game decisions reflect the club's values.
  • Maintain consistency in coaching methods, ensuring a smooth transition for players progressing from the U15 level to higher tiers.


Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Significant experience coaching youth football, with a proven track record of developing players at the YDP (youth Development Phase) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare young athletes for high-level competition and progression within an elite academy system.
  • Experience working within a structured academy environment, preferably at a high-profile football club.
  • Coaching Credentials:
  • Possession of relevant UEFA coaching licenses (e.g., UEFA B License) or looking to work towards UEFA B License
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with players, parents, and academy staff.
  • Deep understanding of advanced football tactics, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
  • Ability to motivate and mentor young athletes, fostering both their athletic and personal development.
  • Alignment with Star’s values and commitment to upholding the club’s traditions and high standards.



2025/26 SEASON - U9s LEAD COACH

The U9s Lead Coach is a dedicated and passionate professional responsible for overseeing the technical, tactical, and personal development of our U9 academy players.


As a key member of the coaching staff at Star Soccer Academy, you will create an engaging and positive environment that fosters a love for the game, builds strong foundational skills, and aligns with the academy's renowned playing philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development:
  • Implement age-appropriate training sessions that focus on technical skill development, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental resilience.
  • Ensure training sessions are fun, challenging, and tailored to the individual needs of U9 players.
  • Team Management and Coaching:
  • Lead and manage the U9 team, ensuring that all players receive consistent guidance, mentorship, and positive feedback.
  • Cultivate a team culture based on respect, discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Monitor player progress and adjust training methods to maximize development.
  • Player Development and Assessment:
  • Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track individual and team performance.
  • Develop and maintain detailed player development plans, ensuring clear communication of objectives and progress to players and parents.
  • Identify emerging talents and provide targeted coaching to help players reach their potential.
  • Integration of Star’s Philosophy:
  • Embed the Stars playing philosophy into every aspect of training, ensuring players understand the principles of possession-based football, teamwork, and creativity.
  • Maintain consistency in coaching methods to ensure a smooth transition from the Pre-Academy to the U9 Academy.


Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in coaching youth football, ideally within an academy or developmental setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing young talent and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Coaching Credentials:
  • Relevant UEFA coaching licenses (e.g., UEFA C License or higher) 
  • Skills and Attributes:
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Strong ability to motivate and mentor young players.
  • Deep understanding of age-appropriate coaching practices and football development strategies.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with academy staff, parents, and players.
  • Passion for football and commitment to the academy's values and philosophy.


ACADEMY COACH (3 HOURS PER WEEK)

MONDAYS 5-8PM (U6s - U11s)

Star Soccer Academy, a leading coaching company, is seeking a passionate and dedicated individuals to join our coaching team.


In this part-time role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the players as they set out on their football journeys..


As an Academy Coach, you will primarily be responsible for coaching sessions on Monday evenings 5-8pm


Responsibilities:


  1. Coaching Sessions: Conduct engaging and dynamic coaching sessions on Monday evenings, focused on developing the technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall performance of our young athletes.
  2. Skill Enhancement: Identify areas for improvement in players' performance and implement tailored training programs to enhance their skills, including passing, shooting, dribbling, teamwork, and game strategy.
  3. Role Model: Serve as a positive role model for young athletes, instilling important values such as discipline, respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship both on and off the field.


Requirements:

  1. Coaching Experience: Prior experience in coaching youth football teams. A strong understanding of age-appropriate coaching methods, training techniques, and player development is highly desirable.
  2. Qualifications: Possession of relevant coaching certifications such as FA Level 1 or higher is advantageous, but not mandatory.
  3. Passion for Football: Deep passion for football and a genuine interest in nurturing young talent and helping them reach their full potential.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with players, parents, and other coaching staff. Ability to provide clear instructions, constructive feedback, and motivational support.
  5. Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational skills to plan and manage coaching sessions, punctuality and reliability are essential.
  6. Flexibility: Availability to work on Monday evenings.
